# Get It Done vs ClickUp

ClickUp positions itself as: An all-in-one productivity suite: tasks, docs, chat, whiteboards, time tracking and goals.

Every statement below is quoted from a primary source — the vendor's own docs or tracker for their product, our own published pages for ours — with the date it was last checked.

## What ClickUp publishes

- ClickUp ships an official MCP server, described in their docs as exposing "many of the capabilities available in our API". (source: https://developer.clickup.com/docs/mcp-tools, verified 2026-09-03)
- Its published tool reference is organised by Search, Task management, Time tracking, Workspace Hierarchy, Members and assignees, Chat, Docs, and Time in status reporting — the docs give no total tool count. (source: https://developer.clickup.com/docs/mcp-tools, verified 2026-09-03)

## What Get It Done does

- The GetItDone MCP server registers 15 tools, each with an explicit required scope, and the full catalog is published on one page. (source: https://nowgetitdone.com/docs/connecting-ai-assistants, verified 2026-09-03)
- AI is included in the Pro plan price. There is no separate AI add-on or per-seat AI charge. (source: https://nowgetitdone.com/pricing, verified 2026-09-03)

## What Get It Done does not do

- No Google Calendar sync. The integrations grid lists it as planned; the dated roadmap row says it has not been started and there is no calendar code in the product. (source: https://nowgetitdone.com/changelog#planned, verified 2026-09-05)
- Voice capture is built but gated on a transcription provider being configured, so it is off in production and the app offers typing instead. Screenshot capture ships today. (source: https://nowgetitdone.com/changelog#planned, verified 2026-09-05)
- GetItDone is not listed in the consumer connector directories, so connecting an assistant means pasting the MCP server URL from the setup guide and signing in, rather than picking it from a catalog. (source: https://nowgetitdone.com/docs/connecting-ai-assistants, verified 2026-09-26)
