GetItDone vs Todoist
A personal and small-team to-do app built around fast natural-language capture.

What Todoist publishes
- Doist maintains an official Todoist MCP server — a "Library for connecting AI agents to Todoist" that lets an LLM "access and modify a Todoist account on the user's behalf". Sourcechecked 2026-09-03

What GetItDone publishes
- The GetItDone MCP server registers 11 tools, each with an explicit required scope, and the full catalog is published on one page. Sourcechecked 2026-09-03
- get_task_video_context returns the visual content of a task — image attachments and video frames — into the assistant’s context, rather than a link the assistant cannot open. Sourcechecked 2026-09-03
What GetItDone does not do
- No Google Calendar sync. It is listed as planned on the integrations grid and it has not been started — see the roadmap on the changelog.
- Voice capture is built but switched off in production until a transcription provider is configured; screenshot capture ships today.
- The MCP server authenticates with API keys, not OAuth, so GetItDone is not listed in consumer connector directories that require OAuth.
