GetItDone vs ClickUp
An all-in-one productivity suite: tasks, docs, chat, whiteboards, time tracking and goals.
Every statement below links to the source it came from and the date someone last read it. Nothing here is a summary of a review site, and nothing claims one product is better than the other — the two do different things, and this page is about which of those you need.
What ClickUp publishes
- ClickUp ships an official MCP server, described in their docs as exposing "many of the capabilities available in our API". Sourcechecked 2026-09-03
- Its published tool reference is organised by Search, Task management, Time tracking, Workspace Hierarchy, Members and assignees, Chat, Docs, and Time in status reporting — the docs give no total tool count. Sourcechecked 2026-09-03
What GetItDone publishes
What GetItDone does not do
- No Google Calendar sync. It is listed as planned on the integrations grid and it has not been started — see the roadmap on the changelog.
- Voice capture is built but switched off in production until a transcription provider is configured; screenshot capture ships today.
- The MCP server authenticates with API keys, not OAuth, so GetItDone is not listed in consumer connector directories that require OAuth.
The dated roadmap for those is on the changelog.
